SELLING AND NETWORKING Selling is often confused with marketing, so it is important that the relationship between the two is defined clearly. Marketing embraces those activities that investigate the market and create awareness about a product or service. Selling is the part of marketing that involves finding actual customers and persuading them to buy. Selling is therefore the final link in the marketing process and one of the most important. The aim of this workshop is to explore the sequential steps involved in the selling process and provide you with advice on how to overcome objections. Networking is the process of connecting with other people, or organisations, with the intention of exchanging ideas, information, and resources. It is currently argued that the success of a small business is related to how well the business owner and staff can build and maintain a network of contacts.
